A Christmas market will accompany the opening of City Road Basin Plaza on 20th December 2009.
The plaza is a new public square at the head of the City Road Basin, part of the Regent’s Canal network.
This is the first public square to be opened in London since 2007 and it will be the first time this part of the Regent’s Canal
has been accessible to the public since 1820 - London’s hidden waterway.

There will be a ceremonial cutting of ribbon to mark the opening of the plaza,
followed by various activities including the Christmas market.
It will be a celebration of natural, healthy, sustainable and delicious food and drink.
Gathered together will be some of the best artisan producers and retailers for you to sample and buy their products.
